Heaven on Earth

Queenstown, New Zealand - October 14, 2012

Today we went to Milford Sound.  Milford Sound was created by glaciers but I will tell you about that later.

First we went on a bus to the heliport and when we stopped we took a big wide helicopter.  I really liked the helicopter.  You had to wear headphones and a microphone so we could talk and hear the pilot.  The helicopter was very loud and fun.  So we took off and I sat in front.

There were many bottoms and it made me feel scared I would press one.  When we were in the air, I saw heaven on earth.  There were many mountains and clouds. I would tell you more, but take a look at these pictures.  It was so cool ... I can't explain.

We landed and hopped on a boat it was so big I could fit my house in the boat.  The boat had many chairs and very good food.  It even had door with an incredible view.

We saw dolphins that were incredibly long.  The dolphins made me feel like I was a dolphin because they kept swimming up and down mostly like diving.  I really like to dive.

We also saw seals they were so cute.  They were laying down and one waved at me.

Next we landed in a waterfall I was so scared.  The waterfall was a dangerous but in the waterfall was a rainbow and I knew that this was a once in a lifetime thing.  I got soaked but it was also heaven on earth.  Click here to watch this video.

The mountains were beautiful they were like cakes.  I wish I could live in a mountain I have to say that was probably the best mountains I have ever seen.  Wait...don't stop reading now it gets better.

Finally we went on another helicopter to a glacier but not a melted one.  It was very cold my mom loved it ... click here to watch this video.

Well, I really loved it I did splits and snow angels.  I was very careful because I did not want to fall.  I wanted to stay forever but sadly it was time to go.

We then took another helicopter back. I loved the ride but was sad to leave.  I understood everything about Milford Sound except for two things.  Milford Sound is actually a fjord not a sound.  I found the answer it is they made a mistake naming it and that's all.  Also before we left, my mom put me sunscreen and I don't understand why.  It was cold.  The reason is because of ozone.  Ozone is layers that protect the world from burning - like sunblock.  Many people are using too many toxins and the layers or ozone is getting thinner and thinner and the sun is becoming stronger and stronger.  Even though I can't see the sun, it's there.  Today was heaven on Earth.

I would really love to do it again but my mom would not be so happy about that.

  1. It's a good thing that you don't mind the cold too much. I saw you getting close to the waterfall and it must have been freezing. Probably colder than the ice bar you went to the other day. Keep blogging to let us know what you do next.
