What a View

Queenstown, New Zealand - October 11, 2012

Today we left the north island and were entering the south island.  I was sad to leave the north island, but who knows what the south island will bring?

First we took a plane to the south island.  The plane was very small and had a great view.  Well ... I think I was sleeping the whole flight but when I did wake up I saw frosted cakes.  Not really frosted cakes, but they were really tall mountains with lots of snow.

Next we arrived at the hotel.  A cute dog came to greet me at the door, but I could hardly notice him.  I was too busy getting ready to go out and take a look at the city of Queenstown.

We walked around the downtown and found a really cool place.  It was all made of ice.  inside, there was an ice TV, ice games, ice statues, ice hokey table, ice chairs and even an ice bar with ice drinks in ice cups.  They have it below zero so you have to bundle up to go inside.  OOPS, did I say it was a nice place.  I meant an ice place.  My mistake.

Today has been very interesting, but really what a view.

I'm hoping for sun because I know they have very good zip lining, cable cars and other activities.  But let me tell you one thing ... tomorrow I am going to smile CHEESE!  You'll find about that later.
